Hardly a month is left for the London 2012 Olympics to start. Sports fans are going crazy to get their tickets for the big sports event. Many people are thrilled to get the tickets whereas some of them are still looking for the tickets. Have you missed to get the London 2012 Olympics tickets? Are you looking for someone to lend you a ticket? In case, you are not getting the tickets in anyway, do not worry. You will be delighted to know that the LOCOG (London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games) has decided to put 50,000 extra tickets of the huge sports event, on sale in the market.
In fact the extra tickets are already on sale now. Based on the high demand for the Olympics tickets from the public, mainly for gymnastics, the organizing committee has made a number of seats within hospitality suites available at the North Greenwich Arena for the public to buy tickets for some of the games. These extra tickets include tickets for Archery, Road Cycling, Tennis, Beach Volleyball, Taekwondo and Volleyball, along with a number of suite tickets at the North Greenwich Arena, where the viewers may watch Gymnastics Trampoline, Gymnastics Artistics and Basketball.
Those who are no longer able to or want to attend the event, or cannot give their tickets to someone else; they can now use the resale platform. This platform will enable people to resell their tickets in a legal and safe way. LOCOG has confirmed that the official re-sale platform is now live, which means customers have another opportunity to put any tickets up for resale that they no longer need. However, the tickets will not be made available immediately for resale, but will be validated and released for sale on a sport-by-sport basis. If the tickets are sold, the customer will be notified by email. He/she will be refunded within 5 to 10 working days of the ticket being sold. In case, the ticket remains unsold it will be returned to the customer’s account.
Fans who want to buy the tickets can get them at www.tickets.london2012.com. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. The committee has advised people still seeking tickets to check the website on a regular basis as the tickets are being released via the resale platform and further contingency tickets will be put onto the market. As a sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, only Visa (credit, debit and prepaid) cards can be used to purchase tickets.
