Olympics football tickets are big woe

London Olympics 2012 is around the corner and its football tickets remain unsold at this time so, the plan of decreasing the capacity of some stadiums has been revealed by organizers of the London Olympics 2012. As per organizers LOCOG, a large number of tickets have been sold but approximately one million football tickets were left unsold. As the capacity of venues, containing the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is being decreased, the figure has been slash in half. However, the capacity of stadium is reduced for the football tournament, but at present, 250,000 tickets are available for this tournament.

Additionally, Olympics committees from around the world have been returned about extra 200,000 football tickets that will go on sale. As per spokesman for LOCOG, the plan is to decrease the capacity of locations by up to 500,000 tickets throughout the tournament. Top tiers in some of the venues/ stadiums will be separated from the stadium by a curtain to conceal the empty seats. If it is required, then this can be applied to men’s and women’s football. As per the Chief organizer Sebastian Coe, the ticket sales were not in terrible form regardless of the force to cut the size of stadiums which has been provided by LOCOG.

As per Coe, the size of reduced-size venues has been reduced proportionally. They have sold more football tickets in comparison to other tournaments. They think that they will do pretty well as football tickets were always the challenge. He also added, as the Olympics edge nearer, a challenge is shown by the adverse weather conditions. Additional shelters are being built for its workforce.
